Introduction

In all aspects of my life, I am a student of the human mind and how it works.

I am an attorney by trade. I am a writer, martial artist, cook, and archer by training.

I am a husband and a father because I am very, very fortunate and I work at it.

As I travel through all the different pieces of my life, I am continually amazed at how the mind works. These writings are a collection of my observations and theories along the way. They are only my own, and should not be attributed to any of my colleagues, teachers, or training partners. Any successes or failures here, any positive contributions or negative missteps, are totally and completely mine.

Hopefully you will join me on these meditations.

My chosen symbol is a lighthouse, not because I am any source of illumination, but because I think our task in all of life is to find the path, and be disciplined enough to notice the things that light the way for us.
